Pickup and Shipping Details

Pickup will be on April 8th between 12:00 Noon and 4:00 PM by appointment in Sandy Utah


PICK UP:

  • The pick-up for this auction will be on Tuesday, April 8th from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm in Sandy, UT 84070.
  • The full address for pick-up will be on winning bidders' invoices. A sign-up link will be sent via Shipping Saint. Please ONLY bid if you are able to attend the pick-up or if you have made arrangements with us to have your item(s) shipped.
  • Should you win a large item and not claim it on pick up day, you will be subject to a $50 removal charge, and you may be banned from future auctions at our teams' discretion.

 

SHIPPING:

  • Shipping is available on select items only at the buyer's expense. NO SHIPPING ON FURNITURE, RUGS, OR OTHER LARGE ITEMS. 
  • Shipping items will be worked on within 2 business days from the close of the auction, but may take up to 7 business days to process.
  • Once the shipping invoice is paid, shipments will be sent out within 4 business days.
  • We use the following vendors for shipping and moving items:
  • Shipping is available through Shipping Saint. All shipping and handling charges will be billed through Shipping Saint. Shipping Saint uses FedEx, UPS, and USPS. All items are insured at buyer’s expense. Signatures are required on delivery. Handling fees are $15 per box packed and shipped. Will combine lots if possible. Handling fees plus cost of shipping supplies, packing, shipping, and insurance charges will be invoiced separately. Customers will need to approve this second invoice. Customers are charged the actual cost of shipping.

  • Buyer will be responsible for paying all packing, shipping, and any desired insurance charges. At our discretion, CT and/or our vendors may charge a per lot handling fee. Please be aware that shipping charges can be very expensive and may even exceed the amount that you paid for the item, so please take that into consideration when placing your bids. If shipping is not paid for, item(s) will be considered abandoned property and will be resold or donated with no refund provided.
  • We may ask for photo ID before shipping or pick up. 
  • Make It Returnable and Delivery Guarantee: A Third Party Vendor, SEEL, provides MAKE IT RETURNABLE (Return Assurance) and GUARANTEED DELIVERY (Shipping Protection) services for select and eligible lots on CTBids. These services can be purchased by you during the bidding process or with your CTBids Premier Membership subscription. This purchase constitutes a direct service agreement between you and SEEL and not with any CTBids or Caring Transitions franchise. Please Note: The original CTBids Buyer’s Premium, shipping fees, and return shipping costs to SEEL for items are not covered or eligible for reimbursement. A request to return a lot must be made within (7) SEVEN days of delivery date or item received date (pick-up or shipped).
Payment Details


TERMS & CONDITIONS:

  1. Maintenance of Payment Information — In order to place a bid, you must have valid payment information stored in your profile. By providing your credit/debit card information to Caring Transitions, you irrevocably authorize Caring Transitions to charge your primary card on file for the total purchase amount of any winning bid plus any fees associated with the purchase of the item, including but not limited to taxes, shipping, and handling fees.
  2. Placing a bid is an agreement to purchase. If you bid, you MUST be available, or arrange for, the pick-up of your purchases on the pick-up date unless you have made prior shipping arrangements. If you win, you must pick up your item(s) or make shipping arrangements. 
  3. If you default on your purchase, your bidding privileges will be revoked permanently. Do not bid if you do not plan to purchase. All items not picked up during the scheduled pick-up time will be considered abandoned and will be donated or resold. FRAUD (credit card, mail fraud or any other type) will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
  4. Bring necessary tools and help for pick-up. Loading help is NOT available. Items may be located on a 2nd floor, basement or out building.
  5. Payment receipts are emailed to winning bidders once the sale has completely closed and your payment has been processed. In the event your payment cannot be fully processed, full payment must be received within 24 hours or your items will be resold and your bidding privileges will be revoked. The full address for pick-up will be on the winning bidders’ invoices. If you do not receive a copy of your invoice via email, please log into your account on CTBids and visit Invoices/Receipts.
  6. All invoices under five thousand dollars ($5,000) will be auto-charged to the primary card on file in your user profile for the total amount. Purchases of five thousand dollars ($5,000) or more will require an auto charge of 10% of whatever the invoice total is. The remaining payment for those invoices must be handled between you and the Seller.
  7. SHIPPING: Shipping is available at the buyer's expense including a $15 handling fee per box packed and shipped. Please see Shipping Terms for additional details. NOT ALL LOTS CAN BE SHIPPED - NO SHIPPING ON FURNITURE, RUGS, OR OTHER LARGE ITEMS.
  8. Please make sure your address is updated in CTBids BEFORE placing a bid. Items will be shipped to the address that appears on your invoice for that auction. If you have not updated your address, Caring Transitions is not liable for items sent to the wrong address.
  9. All items must be paid for before they are picked up or shipped. Items to be shipped cannot be removed from the location without payment.
  10. An 18% Buyer's Premium and Sales Tax will be added to the final bid amount when invoiced.
  11. We have made every effort to describe lot items as accurately as possible. Expect normal signs of wear associated with antiques, vintage, and used items. We do not list every flaw. All items are sold AS IS WHERE IS. No refunds or returns. Caring Transitions does not guarantee the working order of any clock, watch, electronic or mechanical device. Electronics have been plugged in and turned on, but not tested. Dimensions given may be approximate.
  12. Questions: ALL questions about items including flaws, originality of artwork, quality of jewelry, etc. MUST be asked BEFORE bidding. If an item has been shipped to you and you have any questions or concerns, you MUST report this within two (2) days.


Caring Transitions of Sandy is taking the following steps to prevent fraud: 

  • In the event of a payment failure or if an add-on invoice is needed, our team will reach out to you. After we contact you, you must respond for clarification within 12 hours or Caring Transitions reserves the right to consider your bid retracted and may move to the next buyer. 
  • Purchases over $5,000 will be auto-charged 10% of the total invoice. To provide the remaining balance, a certified check is required at pick-up or must be received prior to shipment of the item. If value is over $900 for all lots, you will be required to provide a valid ID and take a photo with the lot(s) to prove pick-up. 
  • For shipped lots, USPS signature confirmation is required for packages over $500.
