Pickup and Shipping Details
Pickup
The pickup for this auction will be held on Wednesday, April 16th from 4-6 PM in Holland, MA. The exact address will be available to winning bidders via invoice once the sale has completely closed. You will receive a copy of your invoice as an attachment via email or you can view it by going to "My Account" and clicking on "Invoices/Receipts."

The pickup date, time, and location are non-negotiable. If you do not retrieve your items during the pickup window they will be considered abandoned and you will not be entitled to a refund. Please only bid if you are able to attend the pickup or are having your item(s) shipped. We cannot retract your bids if you can no longer make the pickup. If you need an alternate pickup date, this must be approved in advance and we charge a $20 fee for relocating and storing your item(s.) This option is only available for small items and with prior approval. Please email jilliandelaney@caringtransitions.com if you have questions about scheduling an alternate pickup.


Shipping: Check for the green box above "Current Bid" indicating an item is shippable. Any items NOT marked "shippable" must be approved before bidding. Email jdelaney@caringtransitions.com for assistance.

  • Once you select "shipping" during the pickup process, there is no need to do anything else for your item to be packaged for shipment. If you aren't sure if you selected shipping, you can go to “My Account” and “Invoices/Receipts" then click on your sale invoice and check that your IRM says “shipping.”
  • Items will be packaged up and shipping/handling will be calculated within 2 weeks of the auction pick-up date. You will receive an email when your package is ready to be shipped.
  • Payments for shipping/handling must be processed manually. Please allow 1-2 business days for your payment to be processed. Your account will show "unpaid" until this point.
  • Your shipping/handling invoice must be paid within 7 days or your items will be considered abandoned and you will not receive a refund.
  • We do not provide estimates for shipping as shipping costs are determined once an item has been packed, measured, and weighed. Caring Transitions of South Central MA uses Pirate Ship for USPS Priority and UPS shipping and we ship from 01521. For large items or furniture, you may be required to set up your own shipping through a courier or freight company. For estimates regarding handling, please contact jdelaney@caringtransitions.com

There is a minimum handling fee of $5 on all shipments and the price will increase based on the size and packaging requirements of the item(s.) If you order something that is extremely heavy, fragile or unwieldly, the handling cost will reflect that. For example, a single 5" tall vase will cost around $10 to ship. A 20" tall LE Smith Swung Vase will cost closer to $20-$25. TEN different crackle glass items will cost at least $25-$35. If you order 100 individual glass bottles, it's going to cost a whole lot more.

General Pickup Instructions

Please bring your own packaging materials to protect and transport your items. Be sure you have enough cargo space to take home your purchases as we do not offer delivery and items left behind will be considered abandoned and will be donated or resold with no refund. For large items/furniture a $40 convenience/restocking fee will be added to your account balance. Account balances must be repaid before bidding privilege reinstatement is considered. Our team will assist with loading furniture and other large items.


It is your responsibility to ensure everything you purchase is present and accounted for before leaving the pickup site. Discuss any concerns about the quantity or quality of your items with a Caring Transitions employee in person. We want you to be 100% satisfied with your purchases but we cannot resolve any issues of dissatisfaction once you have taken possession of your items.
