Terms & Conditions:

1. Maintenance of Payment Information — In order to place a bid, you must have valid payment information stored in your profile. By providing your credit/debit card information to Caring Transitions, you irrevocably authorize Caring Transitions to charge your primary card on file for the total purchase amount of any winning bid plus any fees associated with the purchase of the item, including but not limited to taxes, shipping, and handling fees.
2. Placing a bid is an agreement to purchase. If you bid, you MUST be available, or arrange for, the pick-up of your purchases on the pick-up date unless you have made prior shipping arrangements. If you win, you must pick up your item(s) or make shipping arrangements. 
3. If you default on your purchase for any reason, your bidding privileges will be revoked permanently. Do not bid if you do not plan to purchase. All items not picked up during the scheduled pick-up time will be considered abandoned and will be donated or resold.  
4. Bring necessary tools and help for pick-up. Loading help is NOT available. Items may be located on a 2nd floor, basement or out building.
5. Payment receipts are emailed to winning bidders once the sale has completely closed and your payment has been processed. In the event your payment cannot be fully processed, full payment must be received within 24 hours or your items will be resold and your bidding privileges will be revoked. Full address for pick-up will be on winning bidders’ invoices. If you do not receive a copy of your invoice via email, please log into your account on CTBiids and visit Invoices/Receipts.
6. All invoices under five thousand dollars ($5,000) will be auto charged to the primary card on file in your user profile for the total amount. Purchases of five thousand dollars ($5,000) or more will require an auto charge of 10% of whatever the invoice total is. Remaining payment for those invoices must be handled between you and the Seller.
7. SHIPPING: Shipping is available at the buyer's expense. Please see Shipping Terms for additional details. NOT ALL LOTS CAN BE SHIPPED - NO SHIPPING ON FURNITURE, RUGS, OR OTHER LARGE ITEMS. 
8. All items must be paid for before they are picked up or shipped. Items to be shipped cannot be removed from the location without payment.
9. An 18% Buyer's Premium will be added to the final bid amount when invoiced.
10. We have made every effort to describe lot items as accurately as possible. Expect normal signs of wear associated with antiques, vintage, and used items. We do not list every flaw. All items are sold AS IS WHERE IS, but Return Insurance is available for purchase through Seel on some items (https://www.seel.com/seel-terms-of-service). No refunds or returns. Caring Transitions does not guarantee the working order of any clock, watch, electronic or mechanical device. Electronics have been plugged in and turned on, but not tested. Dimensions given may be approximate.
11. Bid Retraction: We only retract bids under certain select circumstances and at our sole discretion. We will not retract bids within 48 hours of auction close. You have 2 hours within placing a bid to contact us to retract an incorrectly placed maximum bid. Abuse of the bid retraction policy may result in account suspension.
12. Questions: ALL questions about items including flaws, originality of artwork, quality of jewelry, etc. MUST be asked BEFORE bidding. If an item has been shipped to you and you have any questions or concerns, you MUST report this within two (2) days.

Our auction site is designed to replicate a live auction. When bids are placed near the close of an item, extra time is added to allow all bidders a chance to win the item. If identical bids are placed on an item, the first person to place their bid will be awarded the item.

Don't forget about maximum bidding! You can preset your high bid and the system will bid automatically and incrementally for you up to your maximum.
